It was one of those mornings where the air was so crisp it felt like it could shatter. The stars above began to fade as the first hints of dawn lightened the sky. We stood there, sipping hot coffee from a thermos, watching the darkness slowly give way to a breathtaking array of colors. The hoodoos - those surreal, spire-like rock formations - began to emerge from the shadows, bathed in the soft, golden glow of the rising sun.
