3-Day Adventure: Olympic, Mount Rainier, and North Cascades National Parks
The Pacific Northwest has always held a special place in my heart. As a young man after moving to Washington state from Hawaii, my family and I would often pack up the car and head out on weekend adventures, exploring the vast wilderness that Washington state had to offer. I remember my first visit to Mount Rainier - standing in awe at the base of the massive, snow-capped volcano, feeling like I was in the presence of something ancient and powerful. Later, when I first visited Olympic National Park with Hui Cha, I was struck by the incredible diversity of landscapes, from the rugged coastline to the lush temperate rainforests. And then there's North Cascades National Park, a wild and remote place that truly feels like the last frontier.

3-Day Adventure Through The Fire and Water of Northern California: Lassen Volcanic National Park and Burney Falls
The first time I ventured into Lassen Volcanic National Park, I was immediately struck by the raw and untamed beauty of this volcanic landscape. The park is a geological wonder, filled with steaming fumaroles, bubbling mud pots, and towering peaks shaped by ancient eruptions. As I hiked through the park, I was constantly reminded of the powerful forces that have shaped our planet. I remember standing at the edge of Bumpass Hell, the park's largest hydrothermal area, watching the steam rise from the boiling springs and feeling the heat radiate from the ground beneath my feet. It was a humbling experience, a reminder of the earth's incredible power and the ever-changing nature of our world. A short drive from Lassen Volcanic National Park took me to Burney Falls, a place that felt like the polar opposite of the volcanic landscape I had just explored.

A 3-Day Journey Through Nature's Sculpted Masterpieces: Exploring Bryce Canyon and Zion
One chilly autumn morning, before the world was fully awake, Hui Cha and I found ourselves at the rim of Bryce Canyon, wrapped in the stillness that only a place like this can offer. It was one of those mornings where the air was so crisp it felt like it could shatter. The stars above began to fade as the first hints of dawn lightened the sky. We stood there, sipping hot coffee from a thermos, watching the darkness slowly give way to a breathtaking array of colors. 2 Days Exploring Grand Canyon North Rim and Grand Canyon West: A Different Perspective on the Grand Canyon
Our journey to the North Rim began early one summer morning, the air crisp and cool as we made our way through the dense forests that surround this remote part of the Grand Canyon. Unlike the South Rim, the North Rim is higher in elevation and less developed, giving it a more rugged and serene atmosphere. As we approached the edge of the canyon, we were greeted by sweeping views of the Colorado River far below, winding its way through the deep, shadowed canyons. The North Rim feels like a world apart - quieter, wilder, and more intimate than its southern counterpart.
